THERAPIST, COACH, MENTOR & more…
Hi, I’m Charlotte!
For over 25 years, I've studied all things psychology, attachment and neuroscience and now I draw on all my training, qualifications and knowledge to empower you to find the same freedom and authenticity that has transformed my own life. I do this within my sessions, through my talks and within my relatable content on YouTube, Instagram and Podcast.
I think and feel deeply and I’m passionate about what I do because a lot of the women I work with were once little girls who were taught to be seen and not heard. And you might relate to this - brought up to be ‘good-girls’, in environments where it felt (or you were told) that you’re ‘too sensitive’, ‘too needy’, ‘too difficult’, ‘too dramatic’.. ‘too much’ yet you always feel deep down that you’re never quite enough.
Maybe this shows up today in overthinking how you come across, replaying conversations, never saying what you really think, not being sure how you really feel, shrinking and suppressing yourself, or masking traits of ADHD or Autism and shape-shifting because you just want to feel you belong.
My mission is to empower and show you how to break free from the spoken and unspoken messages you’ve received growing up, the internalised rules that make you feel anxious or guilty for having your own wants and needs, to unlearn the patterns that stop you being you.
So you can unlock what you need to re/discover, the real you and to believe not just in your thoughts but actually feel, that you’ve always been enough - just as you are.
From PEOPLE-PLEASING & feeling STUCK to increased SELF-ESTEEM & KNOWING WHO I REALLY AM - with CONFIDENCE: A Therapist’s Story
From People-Pleaser to Confident being ‘me’
From as early as I can remember, I was the typical people-pleaser - although at the time, I had no idea that’s what it was called.
I was constantly doing everything for everyone - need me to stay late at work unpaid so the company reaches its’ targets? Sure! You want me to take on the responsibility of reminding you of important dates, make sure there’s food in and the house is clean as well as working full-time and struggling to remember my own stuff? It’s fine! Want me to drop everything, travel over an hour to come and see you when I’m already juggling a never-ending to-do list? No worries!
Saying ‘no’ didn’t feel like an option.
An example of a lesser known aspect of people-pleasing was in how I completely adjusted my ‘personality’ to fit in with those around me. I’d be sat with people, laughing along to things that didn’t sit right with me and replay conversations asking myself if they liked me, I never stopped to ask myself ‘do I like them’ !?
I didn’t fully know it but deep down I felt like I was too different, not good enough, an outsider - I was masking and shape-shifting because I wanted to feel accepted.
You can see why I was driven to avoid conflict no matter the cost to myself. If someone did something to upset me, I’d be more bothered about how they felt if they knew they’d upset me, rather than how upset I was by what they did.
Ultimately I needed the approval of others to feel ok about myself, to feel like I was good enough for others, and this meant I was always striving to achieve in areas I thought others expected. I was always ‘do-ing’ and never ‘be-ing and on the rare occasion I tried to sit and rest - my mind wouldn’t let me.
On the outside, I seemed easygoing and got on with everyone. But inside, I was mentally and physically exhausted. I had always done so much for everyone else, I felt like no-one cared about me - and that made me feel resentful…. and then guilty for feeling that way!
I felt stuck, I knew something had to change.
And so I took the step I needed to get support to help me understand why I kept doing things that I knew rationally weren’t helping.
What followed was the realisation that this wasn’t ‘just the way I was’ and the problem wasn’t just that I couldn’t say no to people - it was about what was stopping me from saying yes to myself in the first place.
It was about what was driving my need to please, why I felt guilty, selfish or ‘bad’ if I didn’t put everyone else before me, about unlearning the patterns, re-writing the rules I’d formed about what it meant if I considered my own wants and needs - and after years of self-sacrifice - identifying what those were!
It was about rediscovering who I really was underneath the masks.
By working through of all of this and continuing to practice what I preach I unlocked self-acceptance, self-trust, self-belief and confidence that doesn’t depend on external approval anymore (and I’m still considerate of others, make time for people and a kind person!).
I share my story - not to make it about me - but to use it to show you, to prove, that change really is possible!
If you know deep down you’re not happy, feel ‘different’ or on the outside, or you don’t feel satisfied with life or business - please don’t wait until you feel what you would justify as ‘bad enough’.
What you’re feeling right now, that stuckness or sense of being lost, feeling tired all the time or struggling to implement the stuff you’ve read or heard on podcasts… now is the time to reach out. I’m here for you - to guide you, support you, be there for you after years of you being there for everyone else.
So you can finally show up more fully as your authentic self with confidence—in life, work, and everything in between.
My APPROACH
Whether we work together through trauma-informed therapy, counselling, coaching or mentoring support you’re stepping into a space that’s far removed from traditional talk therapy or standard mindset coaching. I’ll help you better understand yourself and why you feel stuck in certain unhelpful cycles and offer clear, structured ways to break free - so you can move forward with more clarity, confidence, and calm, in a way that feels more ‘you’.
My work integrates psychology, attachment theory, nervous system regulation and neuroscience with practical, hands-on techniques drawn from all my training, knowledge and experience including evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and EMDR. This comprehensive, approach is designed to go beyond surface-level struggles so you can make meaningful lasting change to reach your goals in life and/or business.
What To Expect
Clients often tell me how refreshing it feels to work with someone who is not only professional and experienced, but also down-to-earth, warm, and relatable. Our sessions are a mix of depth and lightness—it's not unusual to share a laugh along the way—which makes the process of personal growth feel both productive and less intimidating.
And because I’ve lived this too I bring an added layer of empathy and understanding whilst ensuring the sessions stay focused on your experience and your goals.

GET TO KNOW ME
Outside the therapy room, I'm a mum to a lively little girl and our anxious rescue cockapoo, Max. After years of overthinking every outfit and worrying about being different. I've found joy wearing whatever I feel like wearing and I’m a massive fan of Lucy & Yak. My eclectic music taste (once a chameleon act to fit in with whoever I was around!) now plays true to my own beat.
I feel deeply! I love nature, good views, feel-good festivals, and dancing - always the first on the dance floor (and no longer needing a drink or worrying what people think!) The freedom it brings is exhilarating.
While I still love time on my own, embracing my true self has opened up a deeper joy in exploring new things and connecting authentically with others. I’ve found my true tribe - and with it, the sense of belonging I’d been craving for years.
Therapy, coaching, and mentoring aren’t just about overcoming struggles; they’re about unlocking the freedom that comes with truly understanding and accepting yourself - and learning what you need to move forward.
I’m here to guide you through that journey, offering a supportive space where you can explore, grow, and build real self-belief and confidence.
